Egg Cartons With Style

Introducing Egg Cartons With Style. We have a surplus of eggs due to the fact that we don’t have a kitchen right now. But our six chickens keep laying!

Donations and a Non Profit

I really want these to go to a good use, and I like your mission.

Egg Makers

The eggs are essentially free (with the exception of the feed and water and my time) and as a non-profit, I really want to share this wealth. So I wanted to find a way to make these eggs better promote our mission here at Mezzacello Urban Farm.

I answered a Facebook Marketplace post for an egg-laying house and that’s where I met Holly. Holly was rasing eggs in the city as well, but she was relocating and had to liquidate her chicken setup. This included these stickers and the cute egg cartons. I bought a lot of her equipment, but Holly donated these cartons and stickers.

When I offered to pay her for the stickers and the cartons, she deferred and told me where they came from. They were donated to her from a non-profit called “Food Not Bombs”. She told me, Please accept these. I really want these to go to a good use, and I like your mission.

As a non-profit, I cannot donate or sell eggs or farm products, and my insurance will not cover my doing that either. I can donate them to individuals though. I don’t make enough eggs with six chickens to provide eggs regularly either, so I do what I can.

Sign Up to Collect Fresh Eggs

Click this link to sign up for a pick up time. Supplies vary and first come, first served!

If you are interested, please sign up and collect some eggs. In the past, I have offered these eggs and people are interested (they are really fresh eggs) but I was at their mercy for when they would be here to pick them up. This form allows me to better account for the eggs I have and have a life! I will refresh the page periodically and let you know when I have more.

If you like what we are doing, Maybe consider donating to my Urban Farm and STEM Learning Lab, workshops, and camps to teach kids and communities about food, nutrition, careers and ag tech in the city. Learn More Here.
