Introducing STEM In The Family


Mezzacello Urban Farm is committed to sustainability, applied STEM Education and empowering our youth to be the eco heroes we need. We need the support and involvement of families as well.

What Makes These Programs Unique:

  1. Buy one seat to one of these listed camps as part of the STEM in the Family Bundle.

  2. One free admission to an adult or teen who is responsible and aged 16+.

  3. Two free admissions to up to 2 children aged 3 - 15.

    1. For insurance reasons, babies and toddlers cannot be accepted.

  4. The family is NOT required to stay a full day We understand.

  5. This is a novel program and it gets right to the heart of Mezzacello’s mission to grow, maintain, sustain, and explain to your family!

I have had a lot of requests for this over the years. Please read the details on this offer. It is any parent or a teen aged 16 or over and two younger kids. There are stipulations and issues that must be agreed to ahead of time, but this should be a wild ride!

FarmTech Bundle Camps

This is a popular camp series dealing with farming and livestock.

We will be caring for gardens and farm animals in the morning.

And exploring the way Mezzacello Urban Farms uses animals on the farm. 

These camps can also be purchased as a half-day option.

All livestock at Mezzacello is tested for the presence of H5N1 Avian Flu. 

Rubber Boots are a Requirement. We have extras, but not enough for everyone.

Ecology Connections Camps for Families!

  • STEM In The Family Option Here - Limit 5 families.

  • This is a full-day camp and is also very popular.

  • It’s focus is ecology and sustainability.

  • All 10 ecosystems will be involved in this camp.

  • A great fit for families!

Life Finds a Way Camp

  • STEM In The Family Option Here - Limit 5 families.

  • If this sounds mysterious, it isn’t.

  • This camp explores the way plants, microbes, animals, fish, birds, and insects all bring sustainability and diversity to all ecosystems.

  • Even the ones in your own yard.

How Mezzacello Harnessed the Wind Camp

  • This camp happens only once this summer!

  • It is a surefire hit for your younger kids.

  • We will be reading the book, “The Boy Who Harnessed The Wind”

  • Then we will be BUILDING William’s windmill right here at Mezzacello Urban Farm.

  • It’s very family-friendly and promotes literacy and problem,-solving skills.

Introducing Eco-Hero Teen Intern Camps

We Get It: Teens are busy

  • Teens need access to purpose, experience, and valuable Workforce Skills.

  • They are also busy and scheduling can be really hard.

  • The modular Eco-Hero program is designed to be flexible.

  • A series of three, hands-on-STEM experiences paced over three different days and times allows teens to explore career options and STEM skills on their schedule.

  • Just match the attendance to the Rubric and the certificates are theirs.
