Another Generation of Generators

This is a proud intern

This winter and spring I am working with another brilliant intern from Columbus City Schools. This intern is from CAHS and is interested in teaching and learning and systems integration. This season they are working on the next generation of generators.

Portable Power Modules

I’ve mentioned these portable modules before (here). This intern is developing a new line of power modules that can be strung together as a daisy chain. They are doing their research and doing all of the wiring and engineering as well.

This intern is a clever and industrious intern. They are really good at research and they have strong problem-solving skills. And most importantly, they are curious, creative, and industrious.

The portable power modules currently only work with DC voltages. By redesigning the power modules to be stackable and configurable. This we can use an AC inverter and store power within these modules, as well as draw power from them as needed.

I will be following this design cycle and keep you updated on what we develop together. Stay tuned!
